ELIXIR is an European Life Science infrastructure for biological information. The objective of this initiative is to network the most exhaustive databases worldwide to support countless research fields. The Federal Council approved today Switzerland’s participation in the ELIXIR initiative and empowered the Direction of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation to sign the related International Consortium Agreement.
