Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America reported Wednesday that 271 vaccines were under development, including a monoclonal antibody against the flu and a vaccine intended to hinder HIV. “The nearly 300 vaccines in the pipeline provide great hope for protecting and improving public health in the United States and across the globe,” PhRMA President and CEO John J. Castellani said.
