i-net Nano Technology Event «Innovation Landscape Nano»

Ever since the scanning tunnelling microscope was invented in 1981, pictures of nano structures have been shaping our idea of what nanotechnology stands for. But a lot has changed since then. Today, the innovation landscape of nano is more multidisciplinary than ever and covers aspects of physics, chemistry and biology.

Living systems are especially full of surprises. Many of our biological processes take place at the nano level. Can the recent research results in physics and chemistry be transferred to biology and medicine? What is going on in the fields of «surfaces», «new materials» and diagnostics?

To find answers to these questions, speakers from the Swiss Nano Science Institute, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, the new NCCR Molecular Systems Engineering, CLINAM, BASF, CSEM and Nuomedis will give an update on ongoing activities and what’s new.

«Innovation Landscape Nano» is an i-net Technology Event that shows the rich diversity of the various disciplines involved and provides new cross-disciplinary insights.
