CompPair is pleased to announce a collaboration with its neighbouring startup in Station R, TWIICE. TWIICE develops and builds customer-specific exoskeletons for walking assistance and rehabilitation of people with mobility issues. TWIICE used CompPair’s healable composites to create an exoskeleton’s shoulder rest. The shoulder rest is a vital part of the exoskeleton’s design: this new addition allows people with mobility issues to bend over. Recently, TWIICE won the title of World Champion of the Global Innovation Challenge in Japan. The award is given to organisations that have developed robots that support the autonomous walking of the physically challenged in various aspects of daily life.
