In this context, PMI Science is launching a new computational challenge entitled: “Metagenomics Diagnosis for Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
The challenge will require the use of methods to analyze metagenomics data and/or machine learning/artificial intelligence approaches. It aims to investigate the diagnostic potential of metagenomics data from fecal samples to discriminate patients with IBD from non-IBD individuals, as well as separating Ulcerative Colitis patients from Crohn’s disease patients.
